Yenkaran is a true hunter devoted to The Circle in Siltria. He’s a scout for his pack.

Appearance
Yenkaran is a Hifassi, a hunter species that inhabits from Central Hovehko, to Hwombazu, and West Siltria.
Yenkaran has a sturdy build with large arms, hands, and a thick neck. He has a grey body, counter-shaded with lighter grey hair with triangular spots on his neck. Atop his head he has naturally red hair, with dark grey ears and orange eyes. His tail is short with a dark-grey tip.
Yenkaran has been known to change outfits. In Chapter 2, he wore a drab-green poncho with black pants and grey boots wrapped in crimson straps. It was during this time he concealed his face with a black half-mask. He was equipped with a brown-leather strap and a rugger.
In Chapter 3, Yenkaran wears a crimson half-cloak over a tan doublet. Over his doublet, he wears a brown belt, holding his rugger. He also wears loose-fitting brown trousers tucked into the same grey boots, now unfolded to his knees.
Personality
When Glass met Yenkaran in the forest, she sensed nefarious intentions from him until she realized he was mistaking her for a fellow true hunter. The over-eager Yenkaran approached her, and paid the price of a slash to his hand. Despite this, he understood her boundaries and backed off. In their subsequent meeting, Glass has observed that he can be quite charming. He shows manners and at times speaks with a refined lexicon, unusual for someone who enjoys people-meat.
Yenkaran also dislikes conflict between those of his kin. One such example was when Effi started roughly restraining a disoriented Glass, he scolded her, not wanting an unpleasant repeat from their last meeting.
Skills
Yenkaran most likely has experience with hunting supposed Nanzuul.
He knows how to read and write, and has a high vocabulary. Though Glass has perceived and mocked his “purple prose” when preparing to meet him.
When confronting the Nerkogos, Yenkaran shows a native level of fluency in the Herdish language. He also is able to identify Zebs screaming as Herdish aswell.
