Occam’s razor says that some warlord liked what he saw and decided that Glass needed to be his concubine. I have wilder theories, but this is the most plausible. Must have scared Glass pretty good, since she won’t even think of dancing again. Perhaps if someone were to save her from her old monsters….
This is my theory, too. Her unusual and drastic emotional reaction to Zeb begging her “don’t let them take me!” and her unease when discussing the subject — or her departure overall — both suggest to me that said warlord sent his goon squad to grab Glass and drag her off to his harem. But why did Iron rescue her? Just because she was nice to him? Because she snuck him drinks? That seems too weak of a reason.
