Honestly, some of the Bovani on the boat don’t seem that much bigger or muscular than Zeb. Some are rather skinny. Perhaps he’ll pull on more muscle as he ages, or perhaps he could gain some through eating enough.
Maybe not every Bovani on the ship is bigger than Zeb, but I don’t think he’ll be able to gain muscle mass with age, at least due to his build. Or at least it would be very difficult for him to do so. (If there are any errors here, blame my translator.)
Perhaps. Although, I wonder if he trained enough if he could at least develop some toning. Raw strength no, but perhaps something like gymnastics. He’d still be skinny, but he’d develop some form of abs for his build. Might help his confidence.
Well, that’s far from a given. I can say that in a fight, the chances of winning go either to a stronger opponent or to a more experienced martial artist. Or, as they say in Russia, “a crowd can knock down even a lion.”
Damn, imagine Karate or Muay Thai Zeb. In there next encounter, Yen tries to slit Zeb’s throat like Lutemes, only for Zeb to shatter his nose and frontal lobe by kicking him in the face.
Somehow I can’t do it
Well if Zeb doesn’t have the physical prowess, how do you imagine Zeb could fight? I like to think of each character’s fighting style or abilities in terms of DND: Zeb would be the artificer, Glass the ranger, and Effi and Yen are rogues.
I think the only thing he can do in a fight is prepare for it long beforehand by creating something that’s designed to kill. But Zeb is too soft to do anything like that. And I’m only familiar with DND from humorous YouTube videos.
Glass didn’t want to kill that guy, but she was forced to; Zeb might be forced into a situation where he has to kill someone as well. Anyway, the events of the story and being dragged along by Glass will force him to become stronger. Also, he doesn’t have to design a weapon to kill, just disarm.
I agree. Murder is a last resort. Diplomacy is always an option, but that requires a lot of charisma.
Well, seeing as though Zeb’s charisma stats are lacking, he’ll have to rely on his intelligence stats. He’ll arm himself with all sorts of gadgets and cranks. Diplomacy at the barrel of a gun (or in this case, lance of a jousting crank) to convince people.

I wonder how Zeb would go in this situation. I imagine he would be be frantically trying to restart the engine while trying to block out everything else.
Speaking of which, it would be probably help him if Zeb actually got wounded in a situation like this. Imagine if he got a massive wound from a sword or blade across his arm like Glass. Him getting cut might help him get over his hemophobia.
It’s unlikely that being wounded would have helped him overcome his hemophobia. He would likely have simply fainted.
You have a point. Although, perhaps the adrenaline and being relied upon by the others to get the engine going, (he would most likely be given that job considering his crank skills), would force him to try not to faint. Being exposed to blood probably would help, too.

Cochiwan, I don’t think she’s conquered anything. She looks absolutely shattered; she’s probably going to feel awfully guilty about everything she’s done with the Circle (Lutemes and this guy). If anything, her inner monsters have only increased.
There is an element of self defense. If she hasn’t done what she did, she would be too dead to feel guilty.
